- I had MAMP successfully running in one of the user, but since I have created a new user to separate things between two developers, its throwing tantrums. I am pretty new to Mac itself but managed to find users with similar problems. In my old user, Apache doesn't start and in the new user, MySql doesn't start.
- MAMP installs a local server environment in a matter of seconds on your Windows or macOS computer. MAMP comes free of charge, and is easily installed. MAMP will not compromise any existing Apache installation already running on your system.
But that’s a story for another time. I recently upgraded from MAMP 1.8.4 to 1.9. When I got MAMP 1.9 installed I started the servers. Apache came up but MySQL didn’t want to. I tried shutting down both servers and starting it back up again, which didn’t work. Thankfully, there is a pretty simple fix. To begin with, make sure MAMP is shut. Before switching to Mac OSX Lion 10.7 & MAMP 2.0.2, I was using Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with MAMP 1.9.5 After Upgrading to Mac OSX Lion 10.7 & MAMP 2.0.1 or 2.0.2 Suddenly everything went wrong Apache Server doesn’t start For almost last one month I was unable to update my website theme offline.
After successfully running XAMPP on my Mac OS X I have upgraded my system to Yosemite my MySql server stopped starting through my XAMPP manager.
After clicking restart all or just Start for MySql database its just going into ‘starting’ and then goes back to ‘stopped’.
Browsing through the internet I’ve stumbled upon the solution that worked for me.
